Description:
Through the series Pathways to Equitable Policies, Programs and Initiatives, participants will learn about the important elements of developing, analyzing, and monitoring government policies, programs, and services for more positive and equitable outcomes for Island residents.
Certification:
Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion for the Policy Lens Training Series upon completion of all six courses. Participants must complete all courses within a 2-year period to acquire the certificate.
Pre-requisites:
There are no pre-requisites for any of the courses within the series. Each course functions as a stand-alone learning opportunity. There is no requirement to complete all courses, but all courses must be complete to receive the certificate.
Series Outcomes:
1. Leadership can confidently model and apply the knowledge and skills necessary to develop, analyze, and monitor policies, programs, and services.
2. Employees can demonstrate applied knowledge of the policy lenses and policy analysis process.
3. Employees can effectively identify the differential impacts of government policies, programs, and services on diverse and underrepresented populations.
4. With the support of leadership, employees can develop and improve policies, programs, and services for equitable and accessible service delivery to Island residents.
