Session Information:
Join Lori St. Onge for a lunch and learn session on smudging protocols, where we will explore the cultural significance, traditional practices, and respectful engagement with smudging, a sacred Indigenous ceremony involving the burning of sage. This session will provide participants with an understanding of the purpose of smudging, when and how it is used, and the importance of approaching the practice with cultural sensitivity and respect.
SMUDGING NOTICE: Please note that this session will include smudging, which involves the ceremonial burning of sage. Individuals with respiratory conditions, allergies, or sensitivity to smoke are advised to take appropriate precautions and are encouraged to step away or speak with an event organizer if needed (Lori St. Onge, lstonge@gov.pe.ca).
