Project Management Basics

Effective project management is about planning and organizing resources to successfully achieve high quality results and objectives. This workshop will provide an overview of the basic elements of project management to support project success.

Objectives
-    Discuss the role of the project manager
-    Overview the key concepts and common project management terminology
-    Outline standardized project management procedures and approaches based on Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®)

Applications in the workplace:

-    Improve the delivery of projects and the likelihood of success
-    Provide tools and approaches to ensure projects are set up for success from the beginning of the project
-    Apply basic project management tools and techniques to increase your  effectiveness on teams and in your own functional work area
-    Gain an understanding of practices that increase efficiency and improve benefit
