Investigating Employee Misconduct

This course will provide managers and supervisors with the practical tools that they need to conduct informal internal investigations into employee misconduct allegations. Utilizing real life scenarios of employee misconduct, this course will walk managers and supervisors through the steps of how to investigate employee misconduct by discussing the pre-investigation steps that managers and supervisors should be considering before conducting an informal investigation, the tools and best practices for how to effectively interview the employee facing misconduct allegations and other witnesses, the rules of evidence and how to assess the credibility and reliability of witnesses. Also addressed will be the considerations managers and supervisors should be turning their minds to if disciplinary action is found to be appropriate in the circumstances.
