Harassment in the Workplace - Identification, Investigation, Resolution and Prevention

This course will provide an overview of relevant legislative and workplace policy requirements relating to investigating workplace harassment allegations and will provide managers with the tools that they need in order to conduct an appropriate internal workplace investigation. In particular, using a real life example, this course will discuss the pre-investigation steps that managers need to consider prior to commencing an investigation, provide best practices for interviewing the complainant, respondent and applicable witnesses, provide an overview of the rules of evidence applicable to harassment investigations and how to assess credibility and reliability of witnesses, provide best practices for writing an investigation report, and will discuss the post-investigation steps for managers to take after successfully completing an investigation.
