Family Violence Prevention Training

Length:        Half day session
Audience:    All employees, managers and supervisors are encouraged to attend

Session provided by government’s Family Violence Prevention Coordinator and Director of the Interministerial Women’s Secretariat. The purpose is to educate staff on family violence and the impact on the workplace as well as provincial resources available to help.

Objectives:

-    Learn dynamics of abusive relationships and impacts on children.
-    Learn how family violence impacts workplace safety and wellness.
-    Review PEI’s Guidelines for Addressing Family Violence and the Workplace, and resources available to help including leave for domestic   violence, intimate partner violence and sexual violence.
-    Learn how to recognize and respond to situations of family violence.
