Conflict Management for Supervisors, Managers and Directors

Audience:     Managers, Supervisors, Directors, and Other Employees

Participants will examine the causes and consequences of conflict, explore self-awareness in terms of how they personally think about and respond to conflict, and examine how managers, supervisors and directors can contribute constructively to the management of workplace conflict. Participants will learn and practice collaborative skills and strategies for resolving conflict, including active listening, giving one’s perspective, and framing issues around interests in order to invite creative problem-solving. Practical applications to workplace scenarios will be used to enhance learning and facilitate transference of learned skills to the workplace.
