Confidentiality Obligations, Conflicts of Interest and Cultivating a Respectful Workplace

This Moodle course is divided into two sections:

Section 1: Confidentiality Obligations and Conflicts of Interest
Section 2: Cultivating a Respectful Workplace

-  Understand what confidentiality means in the context of public service and why it is essential to maintaining trust.
-  Learn the purpose and importance of the Oath of Office in reinforcing your duty to protect sensitive information.
-  Identify what constitutes a breach of confidentiality and the potential consequences for individuals and the organization.
-  Understand what a conflict of interest is, how it can arise, and why it must be avoided.
-  Review the Conflict of Interest Policy and learn how and when to disclose any real or perceived conflicts.
-  Understand what the Government of PEI expects from employees in terms of respectful conduct and workplace behaviour.
-  Learn to identify behaviours that may be considered harassment and understand their impact on individuals and the workplace.
-  Explore the different types of harassment and discriminatory behaviours.
