This course is designed to introduce participants to the foundational principles of anti-oppressive work, with an emphasis on self-reflection and critical inquiry. Through guided discussion and experiential learning, participants will explore how personal beliefs, attitudes, and actions influence current policy decisions and organizational culture.
Learning outcomes:
- Explore personal identity in the context of power, privilege, and systemic oppression;
- Understand the foundational principles, values, and intended outcomes of equity and anti-oppression frameworks.
