Did you know that the Government of PEI has a Communications Team? Within the Executive Council Office (ECO), there is a Communications and Public Affairs team with graphic designers, photographers, production technicians, communication officers, and more. Each Department has an assigned Communications and Public Engagement Officer that is responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, developing news releases (GPEI News), liaising with the media, and advising on communication strategies. If you don’t know the name of your Communications and Public Engagement Officer, your supervisor can let you know.
Anytime you have questions about government branding, would like to have a document or product designed, or receive inquiries or questions from the media or third parties—you can flag this with your supervisor and they will get in touch with your Communications and Public Engagement Officer and they can get you in touch with the right government staff member. We have internal staff that are responsible for these tasks.
